Installation

Platforms, checksums, Windows and Linux install, and SSH hosts.

Windows Setup and the Linux .deb come from the Download page. Each button always fetches the latest build for that platform. Avoid unofficial mirrors.

Platforms

  • Windows 10+ x64 — ready
  • Linux amd64 (.deb, Ubuntu 24.04+) — ready
  • macOS — in progress

Computer Use is strongest on Windows.

Verifying a download

  • Prefer the official Download page only
  • Match the listed SHA-256 before you run the file
  • Confirm the version string matches what you expect

Windows

Run Setup. It installs per-user under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Eyeban.

Linux

sudo dpkg -i eyeban_<version>_amd64.deb, then sudo apt-get install -f if packages are missing.

Offline / air-gapped notes

Eyeban’s coding agent needs cloud connectivity to api.eyeban.ir for agent runs. Local editor features (explorer, SCM UI, Tab LSP completions) can still be useful offline, but cloud Agent / Plan / Ask / Debug sessions will not complete without network access.

SSH remote host

For remote development, Eyeban can install a host helper under ~/.eyeban-server/bin on the remote machine. Host binary families currently include:

  • linux-x64
  • linux-arm64
  • windows-x64

Windows arm64 host binaries are not supported. The local machine needs a working OpenSSH client. Optional SSHFS can mount the remote filesystem for local browsing when you choose that workflow.

After install

Sign in with your Eyeban account, confirm the official cloud endpoint (api.eyeban.ir), open a folder, and run Network diagnostics from Settings if the agent cannot reach the cloud. If models are empty after login, check the dashboard entitlements for your plan.
