Keyboard shortcuts

Primary workbench chords. Exact bindings may vary slightly by operating system.

The shortcuts below match the current workbench map. Modifier keys may differ slightly across Windows, Linux, and macOS. When unsure, open the command palette.

Workspace and navigation

  • Ctrl+K Ctrl+O — open folder
  • Ctrl+Shift+P — command palette
  • Ctrl+Shift+E — explorer
  • Ctrl+Shift+F — find in files
  • Ctrl+Shift+G — source control (SCM)
  • Ctrl+B — toggle sidebar
  • Ctrl+J — toggle bottom panel
  • Ctrl+` — integrated terminal

Agent

  • Ctrl+Shift+A — agents surface
  • Ctrl+Shift+L — new agent session

Editing and completions

  • Ctrl+Right — accept the next partial Tab completion (local LSP completions, not cloud)
  • Tab — accept the current completion suggestion when offered

Source control and composer

  • Ctrl+Enter — SCM commit when focus is in the commit message field; in agent composer, newline / send behavior follows the focused control (check the UI hint on the send button)

Tips

  • Prefer the command palette when a chord conflicts with another app or OS shortcut
  • Re-check this page after upgrades; the map can gain entries without a marketing release note
  • Accessibility: if a shortcut fails with a non-Latin layout, switch to a Latin layout briefly or use the palette
